District Road 3605 (DR3605) links the town of Ondangwa and the settlement of Uukwiyuwuushona in the Oshana Region. The road portion of interest starts (stake value 0+000) at the end of the surfaced road portion of DDR3605 in Ondangwa then proceeds for 13.2 km before ending at the intersection with DR3683 which links Uukwiyuwuushona to Omuntele. The road currently has an Average Annual Daily Traffic volume of 258 vehicles per day according to manual traffic counts conducted.
The objective of the project is to upgrade the existing link to an all-weather two-lane single carriageway low volume seal standard which will serve the purpose of:
Improving local rural and regional accessibility, Reduction of road user costs,
Reduction of travel times,
Reduction of maintenance costs and frequency.
